Siblings See Spain and SB’14

I could barely hold in my excitement as my brother opened his 18th birthday card.  I was surprising him with a trip to Spain for Spring Break with the student group I was leading.

It was a chance for Dan to experience a new culture, meet new people (as he didn’t attend the school where I teach), and make lasting memories with his sister.

The highlight of that trip was no doubt having Dan with me to share in the adventure.

This afternoon I am headed to Spain again, but this time no standby.  What a great feeling to know I have a guaranteed seat.  My heart will not be beating out of my chest at the gate pre-depature for once.  I will be leading my third student trip to Spain, taking with me 42 high school students and six other chaperones.

I’ve been coordinating the trip with EF Tours nearly since we arrived home from the last trip two years ago.  It’s a definite labor of love where I feel a great purpose sharing my passion for all things Spanish with my students and the perfect way to unite career and travel.

Here’s the itinerary:

Costa del Sol

Morocco (A first time for me!)

Sevilla

Granada

Toledo

Madrid

We’ve got a great trip planned and I’m really looking forward to seeing familiar places through the kid’s eyes and finding some new experiences along the way.
